Anna M. Grossl, 91 of Findlay and formerly of Ashland, KY, died on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, Ohio.
She was born on March 7, 1923 in Ashland, KY, a daughter of the late Golden Wade and Mabel (Mayo) Curnutte. On November 19, 1949 she married Fred Grossl and he preceded her in death on October 25, 1989. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers: G.W.
(Lois) Curnutte and Robert (Betty Ann) Curnutte.
She is survived by four children: Robert (Lois) Grossl of Georgetown, KY, Anna Staley of Findlay, OH., Fred (Faith) Grossl of Columbus, OH, and John (Betty) Grossl of Ashland, KY. Anna is also survived by eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Anna attended Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Benton Ridge and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ashland where she taught First Grade Sunday School for many years. She was a past president and member of the Poage Chapter of D.A.R. in Ashland. She liked to sew, cook, lend a helping hand and loved her family and her church family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 8, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Brandon Kelly, officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday July 7, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held 12 noon on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Ashland Cemetery. Rev. Don Young will officiate. Visitation will be from 11am till 12noon at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel.
