Beverly M. Edwards

Beverly M. Edwards, 59, of Ashland, went to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Beverly was born March 9, 1958 in Ashland, a daughter of the late John Barrow and Mary Gearheart Barrow. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother Raymond Barrow and three sisters Alexzine Foley, Marmetta Barrow and Loretta Barrow.

Beverly was a 1976 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and retired as an attendance clerk from the Ashland Independent School system. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

Leaving behind to mourn her death are her husband Stephen Edwards, her children Heather Brown Farris, Jamar (Brittany) Edwards and Alexzine Edwards, two step daughters, Stephanie Edwards and Monica Edwards, her brother Wilson Barrow, two sisters Mary Barrow and Anyetta (Michael) Johnson, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, a special niece Angelia Johnson and a host of nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Bishop Gary Edwards will preside. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday from 11:00am till 1:00pm at the church. Burial will follow in the Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
