Boudreau May

Boudreau May, 68, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 at Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods. Mr. May was born May 10, 1949 in Jenkins, KY, a son of the late Macdonald and Emma Ruth Lawson May. In addition to his parents, Boudreau was also preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara Sue Howard May and a sister Anna Stone. Boudreau was a 1967 graduate of Boyd County High School and a member of Wildwood Baptist Church in Ashland. He retired from AK Steel as an operator in the basic oxygen department. He served his country proudly with the US Army during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his daughter Angela May Wheeler and husband Gregory of Ashland, son Jeffrey T. May of Catlettsburg, sisters Connie Greenslate of Catlettsburg, Paula Young of Florida, grandchildren Kristina (Blake) Barnes, Keri Wheeler, Ryan Wheeler, Judson May, great grandson (soon to arrive) Grayson Barnes, several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel by Pastor Ken Gowin. Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East with full military honors. Visitation will be from 10:00am till 12:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
