Connie Lee McMeekin

Connie Lee Doolin McMeekin, resident of Ashland, KY, passed away April 7, 2024 at Cabell Huntington Hospital following a long illness, surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ace and Nova Doolin; a sister Yvone Bellamy; and a brother Charles “Adis” Doolin.

Connie was born in Ashland on December 8, 1953. She loved to spend time making memories with her family for whom she cared for deeply. She was a devoted caretaker to her mother and fostered a loving home for her children and grandchildren. Connie also enjoyed the company of her dog Abbey.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband Lou McMeekin of Ashland; two sons, Shaun (Danielle) Clifton of Ashland, KY, Zack (Haley) McMeekin of Flatwoods, KY; a sister Darlene Worix of Hilton Head, SC; four grandchildren, Nate Cossett of Ashland, KY, Morgan Clifton of Greenup, KY, Chase Clifton of Ashland, KY, and Liam McMeekin of Flatwoods, KY; in addition to many other loving family members.

Graveside services for Connie McMeekin will be Thursday, April, 25 2024 at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM .
