Danette Collier Stepp

Danette Collier Stepp, 57, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born Jan. 22, 1960, in Heidelberg, Germany, a daughter of Daniel L. Collier of Groveport, Ohio and the late Lois Sexton Collier.
Danette was a member of Church for All Nations in Colorado Springs, Colo. She operated The Shady Porch food blog and formerly worked as a Computer Programmer with Nationwide Insurance.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Kevin Brian Stepp of Ashland; father and stepmother, Daniel L. and Barbara Collier of Groveport, Ohio; a brother, Daniel Brian Collier of Ashland; an uncle, Harold R. Sexton of Louisa; two cousins, Nicole Horn and husband Fred of Martinsburg, W.Va., and their children, Casey, Logan, Hailey and Hannah Horn, Scott Sexton and wife Deana of Catlettsburg and their children, Cole, Blake and Ella Sexton.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel in Ashland with Pastor Kenneth Wright officiating. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery in Martin County.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salvation Army, 2212 Carter Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.
