Elinor Louise Stewart

Elinor Louise Stewart, 85, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at the Community Hospice Care Center.

She was born March 29, 1931, in New Brighton, PA, a daughter of the late William and Margaret Hoover Beatty. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Stewart in 1994; and two grandchildren, Katie Stewart and Chris Lake.

Elinor was a 1948 graduate of Holy Family High School and a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Ladies Auxiliary Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 350, She enjoyed gardening, sewing for her children and grandchildren. She loved camping, dancing, spending time with family. Elinor worked for many years at Second National Bank and Pollock’s Jewelers.

Survivors include sons, Paul E. Stewart and wife, Vickie of Nicholasville, KY, Roy L. Stewart and wife, Linda of Ashland, James A. Stewart and wife, Carrie of Standish, Maine and Mike Stewart and wife, Cindy of Ashland; daughters, Mary Ann Kuhner of Raceland, and Margie Lake and husband, Tim of Ashland; brother, David Beatty and wife, Vicky of Bellefonte; 15 grandchildren, Daniel Stewart, Brian Stewart, Cassie Stewart, Mickey Kuhner, Rachel Branham, Kelly Stewart, Sarah Stewart, Morgan Stewart, Andrea Stewart, Jody Gamble, Timmy Lake, Tayler Lake and Landen Lake and 12 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Father John Noe officiating.

Visitation will be from Noon until 1 P.M. Monday, at the funeral home.
