John Alan Nelson

John Alan Nelson, a cherished son, devoted father, and beloved brother, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on March 9, 2024, at King's Daughters Medical Center at the age of 37.

Born on February 4, 1987, in Mt. Gilead, OH, to Debra Boyes McCoy of Ashland and the late Jerry Alan Nelson.

A skillful certified mechanic for twenty years, John's expertise and dedication to his craft were well-respected within his community.

John is lovingly remembered by his mother, Debra; his son, John Mason Nelson; brother, Thomas Lee Gunnels; and sister, Lula McCoy.

No services will be held, as per John's wishes. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steen Funeral Homes.
