Mae Wheeler, 85, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, in Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born March 5, 1932, in Ironton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert and Marie Moberly Dillon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Dillon; and a son, Michael Franklin Wheeler.
Mae was a devoted member of Glory Bound Church of God in Ashland. She formerly led a church youth group. She adored children and was a spiritual mother to many. She had worked as an L.P.N. at King's Daughters Medical Center and was a loving and devoted homemaker.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Wheeler of Ashland; daughters, Kathy Hughes of Ashland and Missy (Rev. Randy) Doyle of Benton Harbor, Mich.; sons, Thomas (Karen) Wheeler of Catlettsburg; and Jeremy Wheeler of Ashland; brother, Randy Dillon of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Candice (Chris) Hutchinson, Christi Robinson, Shanda Robinson, Jessica (Jeffery) Koss, Caleb Wheeler, Megan Wheeler, Titus Wheeler and Levi Wheeler; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Young, Brody Young, Ava Koss, Jeffery Lee Koss, Jr., Aria Robinson and Fiona Hutchinson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Pastor Mike Ratcliff and Pastor Steve Stapleton officiating. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
