Mary Sue Porter

Mary “Sue” Porter, 82, of Summit, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at her residence.
She was born November 19, 1935, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Frank and Lula Clark Bounk. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Royce Edward Porter in 2013.
Sue was a member of Summit Church of the Nazarene. A former Auxiliary member of Summit-Ironville Fire Department. She was the last charter member of Hilltop Homemakers Club which she was involved in for 54 years. She also served as a Girl Scout Leader.
She worked at G.C. Murphy’s in her younger years, was a mother of four and a housewife. She worked at Small World Daycare and later was a seamstress at Lara’s.
Survivors include sons, Ronnie (Marie) Porter of Oldtown, Alan (Suzanne) Porter of Summit and Jerry (Sharon) Porter of Middletown, OH; daughter, Diana (George) Bullion of Summit; 17 grandchildren, Ricky (Mary) Porter, Chris (Tracy) Porter, Beverly (Arlie) Baldridge, Gregory Picklesimer, Jennifer Dawn (Steve) Taylor, Jana Alison Jones, Brent (Ashley) Bullion, Jarett (Jennifer) Bullion, Kyndra Paige Porter, Katelynd Brooke Porter, Luke Andrew Porter, Heath (Savanna) Porter, Aaron (Stacy) Porter, Holly McIntosh, Jill McIntosh, Jared McIntosh and Zach McIntosh; and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Pastor Rob Steinbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
