Michael Edward Truax, 55, of Ashland, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017, at his residence.
He was born June 15, 1962, in Ashland, a son of the late Richard and Joan Mellon Truax. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Annetta Wells Truax.
Mike retired from the Ashland School System. He was an avid Tomcat fan, hunter and outdoorsman.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mary Ann Barber of Ashland; sister, Mary Truax McKinney of Ashland; brother, Richard Truax, Jr. of Lexington; three grandchildren, Katelyn Barber, Aaron McGranahan and James Miller; and a great granddaughter, Sophia Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Pastor Mike Moore Officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday, at the funeral home.
