Sara Elizabeth (Warren) Stavros

Sara Elizabeth Stavros, born September 23, 1941 passed away after a long illness on June 28, 2017 at Kings Brook Life Care Center in Ashland, KY. She was born in Lebanon, KY and is preceded in death by her husband George P Stavros, parents F.M and Ilda Thomas Warren, siblings Frank Warren, Jim Warren, Tim Warren and Norma Warren.  She is survived by her children Peter G. Stavros II, Kate Stavros Tyree (James), granddaughters Ali Stavros, Sarah Tyree, Anya Tyree and her siblings Phyllis (Carrol) Abel, Margaret (Howard) Mattingly, Jan (B.J.) Brady, Tommy (Betty) Warren and Johnny (Lois) Warren, brother in law Jim (Suzanne) Stavros and many nieces and nephews.  She was a life-long member of St. George Greek Orthodox church in Huntington, WV and enjoyed many years of volunteering at Bellefonte Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel. The Reverend C. Mark Elliott, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-1 Friday at the funeral home.
