My life was better because Webb was in it. He will remain in my heart forever. Every time I hear thunder now, I will smile. I will be sure that daddy(Elwood), Webb and Harry have found something in Heaven to get into. I am equally sure that God will laugh and say , "Those Kentucky boys are at it again." Rest in peace, sweet Webb.

Connie and Darlene, there is no way to express adequately the sense of loss I feel hearing of your father's passing. I remember the many times spent in the basement of your house while my mom and dad and your parents were upstairs arguing politics and having a generally good time. After Daddy died in 1961, your folks were part of a support network that we desperately needed. Mom was privileged to have served as a teacher with your father as her principal at Boyd County and Paul Blazer. She truly loved and respected him as a leader and an educator. Attending First Baptist Church was hard for Mom after Daddy died, and your folks gave me rides to church on a number of occasions. I loved Webb and Jean as if they were my uncle and aunt, and you were our cousins. Your father's sacrifice for our country was life changing in some ways, but I never sensed that he felt anything other than a truly whole patriot. I am so sorry for your loss. The world has lost a great man, but heaven has gained a true hero. God bless you all.

SO SORRY FOR YOR LOSS, WEBB WAS A GREAT LEADER AT ROSE HILL WHILE I WAS THERE UNTIL THE EIGHT GRADE.WE WILL KEEP THE FAMILEY IN OUR PRAYERS.GOD BLESS.
