Yvette Hickey

Yvette Alfreda Hickey, 85, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday evening, March 12, 2024, at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Yvette was born in Saint-Quentin, Aisne, a city of Northern France. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Leotine LeFevre. In addition to her parents, her husband Curtis Valden Hickey also preceded her in death.
Yvette and Curtis lived in France while he was serving with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. They returned to the United States in 1968 and lived in Texas to be closer to family. They moved to Hampton, Virginia for a short time, where Curtis retired, and then back to Texas. After Curtis passed away, Yvette decided to move to Ashland, KY and make her home with her daughter.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Kimberly Aycock of Ashland, her son Kurt Hickey and wife Chey of Germany, two grandchildren Julia A. Curry and husband Raheem and Robert Aycock, and her great grandson Sage Curry.
Funeral services will be held privately at a later date.
