Danny Jay Fyffe

Danny Jay Fyffe, 69, of Ashland passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Danny was born September 18, 1946 in Paintsville, KY a son of the late Delmer and Roberta Hay Fyffe. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers Jackie Fyffe and Bill Fyffe and a grandson Cody Allen Fyffe.
Danny attended the Meade Station Church of God in Ashland. He retired from Marathon and was a member of United Steelworkers Local 8-00719 and was a KY Colonel. Danny was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.
Survivors include his loving wife Jerrie Wellman Fyffe of Ashland, son Greg Fyffe and wife Angie of Johnson County, KY, daughter Sherry Parson and husband Joe of Morehead, KY, brothers Ronnie (Becky) Fyffe of Flat Gap, KY and Randy (Gina) Fyffe of Russell, KY, grandchildren Katelyn Parson, Joseph Parson II, Emily Fyffe, Alisha (Bobby) Williams and a great-granddaughter Brinley Williams. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Meade Station Church of God by Pastor Rob Jordan. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-9pm at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel and from 11:00 am till 1:00pm at the church on Tuesday.
