Alan Keith Stennett

Alan Keith Stennett, 70, of Ashland, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017, at Community Hospice Care Center.
He was born December 13, 1946, in Athens, W.Va., a son of the late James Harold and Rosalie Upton Stennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Allison Kristina Stennett in 1988.
Alan was a 1964 graduate of Greenville High School in Greenville, W.Va.; and a 1968 graduate of West Virginia Tech in Montgomery, W.Va. He retired from Kentucky Power as an Electrical Engineer, after 37 years of service. He was an avid golfer, bowler and woodworker and served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Linda Patton Stennett of Ashland; daughter, Amanda Kathryn Stennett and husband, Shawn Michael Russell of Alameda, Calif.; sisters, Judith Stennett and husband, Michael Rosalina of Friars Hill, W.Va., and Rhonda Stennett and husband, Jackson Pyle of Decatur, Ala.; and one grandson, Asher Kane Russell.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Pastor Mike Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from Noon until 1pm Wednesday, at the funeral home.
