Alberta R. Davis

Alberta R. Davis, 93, of Rush, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019 at Oakmont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 7, 1926, in Sciotoville, Ohio, a daughter of the late James Silas Ratliff and Eva Gillum Ratliff Salyers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Campbell Davis in 1961; brothers, Ballard Gene Ratliff, Walter Emery Ratliff; and a sister, Zelova Irene Ross.
Alberta was a member of the Non-Denominational Church. She was an avid gardener, quilter and enjoyed painting. Most of all she was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted homemaker.
Those left to cherish her memory include sons, George Keith Davis (Lois) of Rush, Kenneth L. Davis (Victoria) of Nicholasville, and Karl V. Davis (Pam) of Rush; daughter, Eula Davis Hill (Bob) of Greenup; grandchildren, Pam Davis Blackburn, Angela Davis, Ryan Davis and Brittany Barker; 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2019, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel.
Visitation will be from Noon until 2 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
