Alice M. Lane

Alice Mae Lane, 87, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Alice was born February 18, 1930, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Allen and Bessie Brown Humphrey. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Lewis Howard Lane, brothers Allen, Curtis and Little Joe Humphrey, sisters Bernice and Audrey Humphrey. Alice was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Ashland. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed. Survivors include her daughter Melinda Lane Hester and husband Allan of Ashland, brothers Johnny (Connie) Humphrey, Raymond (Virginia) Humphrey, sisters Betty May and Martha Lou Prichard, grandchildren Lorinda Dawn Hester Hanebuth and husband Jon, Brandon Hester, great grandchildren Drake Allan Hanebuth, Rindey Drake Hanebuth , her dear friend Maryann Collins and a host of extended family and friends. In respect to her wishes, a private family memorial will be held. No public service is planned. Entombment will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
