Amanda Grace McClave Preston, 45, of Ashland, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at her residence.
She was born July 11, 1974, in Huntington, West Virginia, a daughter of William T. McClave of Ashland, and the late Genetta Ruth Bledsoe McClave. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Betty and Harold Bledsoe, paternal grandparents, Ralph and Merle McClave and a brother, Leslie Mark Bledsoe.
Amanda was a member of Princess Chapel Church. She was a graduate of West Carter High School, Morehead State University and received her master’s degree in Nursing from Bellarmine University.
She was employed as a registered nurse with King’s Daughters Medical Center, Riversbend Nursing Home and Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility until her health declined.
In addition to her father, those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 21 years, Sean Douglas Preston of Ashland; beloved daughter, Grace Anne Preston of Ashland; brother, William Brad (Ladonna Michelle) McClave of Georgetown; best friend, Nicky (Michael) Giles of Olive Hill, KY; nephews, Micah Braden McClave of Georgetown, KY, Aiden Bledsoe of Grayson, KY; and a host of aunts, uncles, extended family members and dear friends.
Due to the Covid-19 virus, a celebration of Amanda’s life will be postponed until a future date.
