Anna Jean Burton, 83, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
She was born August 23, 1936 in Boyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Garrett D. Davis and Lottie Pennington Davis Clark.
She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church and Greenhill Eastern Star 567. She was an avid UK fan and was a loving and devoted homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Thomas R. Burton of Ashland; daughter, Sheree (Oscar) McGinnis of Grayson; brothers, David (Judy) Davis of Lexington, John (Anna) Davis of Catlettsburg; sister, Irene Stepp of Catlettsburg; two granddaughters, Amanda Grant of Indiana and Heather Birch of Ironton, OH; four great grandchildren, Emilee Newsome, Ava Roach, Lily Roach and Damon Grant. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2019, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Tom Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
