Tribute

Anna Laura Justice, of Ashland, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on June 5, 2020.  She was born in 1926 in Stone, Ky to John Henry Fitch and Fonnie Blackburn Fitch, and was raised in Belfry, Ky by her loving father and stepmother, Hazel Fitch.  She married her longtime friend and love, Elster Justice in June of 1946 who preceded her in death in 2007.

A member of Christ United Methodist Church, Ann was a lifelong homemaker who took great pride in her family and taking care of her home and was often in her kitchen preparing meals and treats for those she loved.  She also greatly enjoyed spending time on her front porch visiting with special friend and neighbor of over 60 years Thursa Keathley.  

Ann is preceded in death by her sister, Ada Lois Banks. She is survived by siblings John Henry Fitch, Jr. of Georgetown, Melissa “Frances” Rigel of Richmond, and Ruth McGraner of Branford, Fl.; children Carolyn Justice May (Donald) of Ashland, and Donald Edward Justice (Effie) of South Point, Oh.; grandchildren Kevin May (Shannon) of Pataskala, Oh., Todd May (Robin) of Pickerington, Oh., Mendy Ward (Lenny) of St. Petersburg, Fl., Eric May (Astrid) of Nashville, Tenn., and Donnie Justice (Tanika) of South Point, Oh.; great-grandchildren Ashley Marth (John) of Cinicinnati, Oh, Zachary May of Nelsonville, Oh, Allison May of Toledo, Oh, Stormie Ward of South Point, Oh., Dylan May of Pickerington, Oh., Aleigha Justice of Lexington, Peyton Justice of South Point, Oh., Sasha May and Jasper May both of Nashville, Tenn.; great-great-grandchildren Adelynn Mae Bekier of Toledo, Oh., and Annie Marcella Marth of Cincinnati, Oh.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Monday, June 8.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with a funeral service at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Michael McAllister. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Community Hospice of Ashland [(606) 329-1890] in honor of Amy & Liz, her caring home hospice nurses.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family kindly requests that all visitors adhere to CDC guidelines of wearing masks and observing social distancing.
