Beatrice Ann Queen “The Queen Bea”, was born April 25, 1936 in Ashland, Kentucky and passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Ronald E. “Ronnie” Queen in 2016; son, Douglas Ray “Bud” Coburn Jr. in 2018; parents, Kelly and Lessie Gibbs; sisters, Sharon Gibbs Manning, Lydia Gibbs Wallace and Thea Gibbs Adams.

Bea leaves behind a family who loved her dearly. She is survived by a daughter, Connie Coburn Melvin of Ashland; daughter in law, Cindy Coburn of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Angie Massey and David S. Melvin (Tiffanie) of Ashland, Kelly Albers and Kim Reed of Tulsa, OK and Douglas “Beau” Coburn III of Mexico; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Sandy Gibbs Ferenz of Ashland; and a brother, Kelly Gibbs of Ashland

Bea was of the Christian faith and greatest joy in life was time spent with her family. The family loved coming to Bea’s house for dinner. Boy could she cook! The love between Bea and Ronnie was the greatest for all to admire. She was considered as the anchor to the family due to her love for each of them and she will be deeply missed. Her positive spirit was contagious. She loved sharing stores of her 84 years. She had a zest for life and was an amazingly strong woman. She made sure each of her family members knew how much she loved them. Her family came first and foremost.

A graveside service will be held at Noon Friday, November 13, 2020 at Rose Hill Burial Park with Chaplain Jimm Smedley officiating.

Friends may make contributions in Beatrice’s memory to Community Hospice.
