Bernice Ann Williams

Bernice Ann Williams, 66 passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021, of Brain Cancer, peacefully at her home in Crestview, FL. surrounded by her family.

She was born in Ashland, KY, on March 19, 1955. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlie L. Williams Sr. and Bernice Whitt Williams and four brothers, Michael, Carlie Jr., Larry, and Jeffery Williams.

She was a 1973 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School. She moved to FL in 1974 where she met Vince Barrera and they married the same year. She joined the U.S. Air Force in 1979 and was medically retired in 1981.  She married J. J. Wright in 1987.

She is survived by two brothers, Eddie Williams of Flatwoods, KY., Paul Williams and wife Connie of Sedalia, MO., two sisters Patricia and husband Eddie Griffith of Ashland, KY., and Jerrie Moore and niece Ashleigh Moore and nephew Austin Moore all of Crestview, FL., along with numerous other nieces and nephews.  Bernice (Berni) enjoyed dancing and any types of sweets.

A funeral service to honor Bernice’s life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 at STEEN FUNERAL HOME CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL followed by entombment in Ashland Cemetery.                                                                                                                                         
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2021, at the funeral home.
