Betty Fitzwater

Betty Wells Fitzwater, 79, of Greenup, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness.
Betty was born October 24, 1938, in Lloyd KY, a daughter of the late Herman and Maggie Wells. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jacob Fitzwater Jr., sisters Joyce (Arlas) Creech and Jean (Ben) Webb.
Betty was a former school teacher and real estate agent. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to travel and vacation with her family and was an avid Kentucky Basketball Fan.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa Mantz and husband Bruce of Greenup, her twin brother Bob Wells and wife Ricca of Lloyd, granddaughters Megan Mantz, Madison Mantz, grandson Andrew Imel, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, Kentucky with Pastor Pat Hoeksema officiating.
