Betty Jo Hale

Betty Jo Rice Hale, 91, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Ashland, passed away Sunday,

March 22, 2020. Betty was born December 23, 1928 in Floyd County, KY, a daughter of the late Wayne and Elsie Patrick Rice. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Hale, a daughter Connie Shubert, sisters Elma Dickison and Opal Valentine.

Betty was of the Baptist faith and a devoted homemaker to her family. She will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters Deborah Spears of Ironton, OH, Katherine Roberts of Savanah, GA, Karen Cox of Gallipolis, OH, sisters, Garnet Cook of Springboro, OH, Lydia Barker of Lexington, KY, son Donald Hale of Willow Wood, OH, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Private graveside services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
