Betty Huff

Betty Alice Huff, 81, entered everlasting sleep and into the arms of our Savior on May 22, 2023. She was born on May 22, 1942, in Kanawha County, WV. Preceded by her husband Rube Huff. She spent most of her life in Ashland, KY. Betty was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Ashland where she was loved and had many great friends. She had recently become a member of the Wurtland Church of God and enjoyed Sunday services with family friend Robin. Betty loved to entertain and was the life of the party, she brought joy to all that knew her. She enjoyed playing cards and catch phrase with any and everyone that would sit at the table.
She occasionally cheated!!
She enjoyed watching golf and her favorite “The Game Show” channel. She had many metaphors, “Sexier than socks on a rooster,” “Finer than frogs’ hair,” “Hanging in there like a hair in a biscuit,” and always looking for hairy legs!!
Although she never had her license or drove, she enjoyed going places, and taking trips to Walmart with her grandsons, and backyard cornhole.
She leaves behind her 4 children, Cathy Reliford, Robin Olson, Steve Reliford & Dale Reliford, & spouses, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, her dear brother that she loved so much Victor Depta, her niece Helen & Henry her son and her sister Clare Branscome & brother Allen Waugh, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the STEEN FUNERAL HOME CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL by Chaplain Jimm Smedley. Burial will follow services in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be prior to services Saturday beginning at 9:30 am at the funeral home.
