Betty Louise Daniel Pack, 95, of Ashland, departed her earthly life on Friday, November 15, 2019 at her residence.
She was born May 24, 1924, in Waverly, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles B. Daniel and Madge Ball Daniel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Laudie John Pack in 1988 after 44 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Joyce Pack in 1945; brothers, Infant boy Daniel, Paul Richard Daniel, M.L. Shannon and Tom Jeff Shannon; sisters, Geneva Shannon Duke and Karen Shannon Ryan; and a brother in law Dale Kemp.
Betty was a 52 year member of Wildwood Church of God where she taught Sunday school for 20 years. She was also a member of Women of the Church of God and was a former member of Community Bible Study. She was a loving and devoted homemaker but worked part time as a secretary.
Survivors include two daughters, Melba Pack (Philip) McDaniel of Newberg, OR, and Wanda Pack (Bill) Schubmehl of Rochester, NY; brother, Norris E. (Louise) Shannon of Reynoldsburg, OH; sister, Nancy Shannon Kemp of Columbus, OH; two sisters in law, Virginia Shannon of Lewis Center, OH, and Claudette Shannon of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren, Linette (Timothy) Corrigan of Columbus, OH, Nathan (Hillary) McDaniel of Newberg, OR, Melodie McDaniel of McMinnville, OR, Stephanie Schubmehl of Rochester, NY and Adriana Schubmehl of Rochester, NY; five great grandchildren, Daniel, Esther and Joel Corrigan and Jethro and Jeremiah McDaniel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Wildwood Church of God with Pastor Steve Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel.
