Betty Jo Peters

Betty Jo Peters, 84, of Morehead, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Community Hospice.
She was born November 27, 1938 in Tazewell, Tennessee to the late John and Mary Manning Francis. Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Gretchen Flatt; and a brother Les Francis.
Betty retired as an English Professor with Morehead State University after a 30 year tenure. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Dona Ross (Tom) of Catlettsburg, KY; a brother, Wayne Francis of Tazewell, TN; and a sister, Anita Lyons of Georgetown, KY.
In accordance with Betty’s wishes, no services will be held.
