Beulah Fern Laney

Beulah Fern Laney, 73, of Ashland went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at her residence. Fern was born November 14, 1944 in Ashland, a daughter of the late Ernest and Bessie Laney Barker. She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law Edward Walker. Fern was a lifelong Ashland resident. She was a faithful member of the 21st Street Tabernacle in Ashland. She loved her church family and attending services. She will be deeply missed. Survivors include her sisters Clydah Jean Miller and husband Willie of Ashland, Nancy Walker of Ashland, and several nieces and nephews that considered her more as a mother than an aunt. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5-7pm at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel. Private burial will be in the Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
