Bobby Gene Crye

Bobby Gene Crye, 89, of Cannonsburg, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 31, 2017, at the Community Hospice Care Center.
He was born March 26, 1928, in Wilson, Oklahoma, a son of the late Curtis and Mittie Mae Teague Crye. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jack Crye; and a brother, David Crye.
Bobby was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He retired as a pipefitter from Ashland Oil after 39 years of service and was Boy Scout Master for Cannonsburg Troop 125 for over 10 years. After retirement Bobby enjoyed traveling to all 50 states, woodworking and many hobbies.
Survivors include his loving wife, Pauline Schmitt Crye of Cannonsburg; son, Curtis Crye (Sharon) of Catlettsburg; daughters, Vicki Conley (Charles) of Ashland, Kathy King (John) of Buxton, NC, Connie Crye of Ft. Myers, FL; Paula Williams (Tim) of Waverly, OH, and Bobbie Jo Vannatter (Stacy) of Columbus, OH; sister, Doris Adkins of Minden, Louisiana, and Ann Carner of Chaplin, KY; 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Pastor Chris Rutledge and Pastor Danny Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
