Bobby Ray Kelley, Jr. 70, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away at his residence on Friday, November 18, 2022.
He was born in Ashland, Kentucky on June 8, 1952, to Jo Ann McComas Kelley of Ashland, KY, and the late Bobby Ray Kelley, Sr.
Bobby was a 1970 graduate of Paul Blazer High School. He served honorably in the United States Army National Guard and retired following a long career with Version Phone Company. He later owned and operated Triton Communications in Ashland. Bobby was a member of Elks Lodge, 350 B.P.O.E. and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 892. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 50 years, Kathy Skaggs Kelley of Ashland, KY; his mother, Jo Ann Kelley of Ashland, KY; son, Bobby (and wife, Jami) Kelley of Ashland, KY; daughter, Lea Ann (and husband, Jonathan) Abbey of Lexington, KY; brother, Michael (and wife, Terri) Kelley of Ashland, KY; and four grandchildren, Madison and Ethan Kelley and Peyton and Tatum Abbey.
A private graveside service will be held at Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with words of comfort provided by Chaplain Jimm Smedley.
