Bobby G. Slone

Bobby Gordon Slone, 80, formerly of Ashland, currently residing in Palm Bay, Florida, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 27th in the VITAS Hospice House.

Bob was born October 27, 1940 to the late Benjamin “Frank” Slone and Rosie Middleton Slone. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carole Ann Slone in 2018.

Surviving are his two sons, Robert (Kasey) Slone of Florida and Michael (Deanna) Slone of Georgia; grandchildren, Erin (FL), Brooke (FL) and Chase Slone (GA.); great grandchildren: Colton and Laila; and sister, Phyllis Jean Armstrong of Ashland.

Bob spent his career working as a Crane Operator for Armco Steel and was an avid sports fan.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2021 at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel. Entombment will follow in Ashland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
