Carl Edward Chapman

Carl Edward Chapman, 93, of Ashland, KY passed away at his residence on May 1, 2022. He was born on May 9, 1928, in Ashland to the late Otis and Elsie Smith Chapman. He was the last of seven children. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Jo Chapman and son in law, Larry Rusche.
Carl was a devoted husband and father and was a retired assistant chief fireman in the Washington, DC area.
Carl is survived by his daughter Brenda Rusche of Ashland, KY, nephews, Darryl Akers, Brian Unrue, and Dwayne Unrue, a niece Tina Columbro, sister in law, Marilyn Unrue and a special friend who helped care for Carl, Madeline Smith.
Private services will be held with interment to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
