Carolee Busch

Carolee Luther Busch, 85, lifelong resident of Ashland, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Woodland Oaks in Ashland. Carolee was born January 19, 1936 in Ashland, a daughter of the late Merle C. and Arbutus Roberson Luther. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Lloyd E. Busch, and a brother-in-law, Ronald Lewis.
Carolee was a charter member of 13th Street Baptist Church. She served in many capacities including church pianist for many years. She was a graduate of Ashland Business College and worked for several years as a secretary with Kentucky Power Company.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons Brian Busch and wife Babby of Spring, TX, Brent Busch and wife Lisa of Ashland, KY, her sister Martha Lewis of Ashland, her grandchildren Brittney Busch, Branden Busch, Sarah Busch, Dan Busch, Scott Busch, and a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 pm Friday, July 9, 2021 at the 13th Street Baptist Church by Pastor Jim Byrd.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel.
