Charlene Windland

Charlene Modesitt Windland, 81, of LaGrange, KY, formerly of Ashland, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. Charlene was born November 10, 1939 in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Walter C. and Phoebe K. Fields Modesitt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Clyde E. Windland and her sisters Jodie Chastain and Eleanor Falls.
Charlene was a homemaker and seamstress. She formerly worked for the RoseTree Boutique in Ceredo, WV
Those left to cherish her memory include her children C. Evert Windland, Jr., and wife Shawna of Thelma, KY, John J Windland and wife Valerie of El Paso, TX, Kelly Windland Park and husband Mickey of Louisville, her grandchildren she adored Bailey (Charlie) Taylor, Ally Windland, Monica Windland, Kennedy Park, Chloe Park, and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel by Pastor Rob Jordan. Private burial will be in the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
