Chrissy Berry

Christopher Allen “Chrissy” Berry left us on July 23, in Ashland, after a

short illness. Born on November 15, 1952, in Ashland, to parents Samuel

and Evelyn Cravens Berry, Chrissy was preceded in death by them, and is

survived by, a loving devoted sister, Teresa Smith, her husband, Robert, of

Valley Village, California, an aunt, Wanda Berry Sutphin, of Lexington,

Kentucky, and several cousins. Chrissy was a graduate of Paul G. Blazer

High School, a member of the Tomcats football team for two years,

attended Ashland Community College, and, at one time, studied for the

ministry. Dearly loved by family and friends, both human and feline,.Chrissy

had a kind, generous, non-judgmental heart, an impish infectious personality,

and a wicked ,wicked ,wicked, sense of humor--those who knew Chrissy best know

even three “wickeds” may not be enough. Chrissy was a proud and brave person,

and the family would like to thank so many of you who showed Chrissy such

great kindness, respect and understanding. Per Chrissy's wishes, there will not

be a service, and in lieu of flowers, if family, friends, and even the most casual

acquaintance, might pause sometime this week and tell each other how very

much they are loved, that would be the most fitting memorial of all. Chrissy,

we love you, and are so very proud of you. You now know, God and the angels

don't care what you wear; they love and welcome you for your sweet lovely gentle
