One of the sweetest souls on earth passed to God and his Glory, at his home, Saturday, March 10, 2018.
Christopher Cheyenne Howard was born June 5, 1972 in Ashland, a son of Sherry Boyd-Prichard and step-father Phillip Elliot Prichard of Russell, KY and the late Barry Christopher Howard. In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Joe Howard and maternal grandparents William R. and Marlene C. Boyd (Pierre & Meme).
Christopher was a 1990 graduate of Russell, High School. He was active in F.C.A., Pep Club, Ski Club, Football, Pres Academic Fit Award, Computer Engineering and Chess Club.
In 1989 he was nominated and awarded by the Jr. Engineering Technical Society (J.E.T.S.), for his performance in NEAS Competition, the designation into the prestigious “Who’s Who among American High School Students” 1988-89, top 5%.
After attending Morehead State University and honing his skills in computer science, Christopher obtained a position with AT&T as a resource management specialist.
Christopher loved his family, his beloved pets, Jojo and Lexi, UK Basketball and Football which he played both in little league, and was a true music and movie enthusiast. He became a member of the Normal Presbyterian Church after his grandmother became the church organist.
In addition to his mother and step-father, Christopher is survived by his son Christopher Alexander Howard of Lexington, KY, his spouse of 23 years, Amanda Arthur Howard of Raceland, God mother Leslee Greenslate (sheshe) of Russell, paternal grandmother Mrs. Loretta Howard of Mead, KY, uncles Toby Boyd of Orlando, FL and Ted Boyd of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
A memorial service honoring his life will be held 6:00 PM Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Normal Presbyterian Church, 4316 Winchester Avenue, Ashland by Pastor Brian Steele.
