Clara Edith Hanners

Clara Edith Hanners, 80, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center. Clara was born September 22, 1937 in Maysville, KY, a daughter of the late Alton Shirley and Mildred Brown Roush. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Alva Hanners and her daughter-in-law Betty Brill.
Clara was a beautician and worked for many years at the Carrousel Beauty Salon in Boyd County. She was a resident of Kingsbrook and enjoyed the many activities they provided. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her son Max Brill of Flatwoods, her daughter Maria Adams and her husband David of Catlettsburg, grandchildren Tamara Collins, Brian Ferguson, Greg Ferguson, Misty (Chip Lesser) Brill, Chris (Jessica) Adams, five great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and her extended Kingsbrook family.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00pm till 1:00 prior to the service. Burial will be in the Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
