Connie Lee Dickerson Renfroe, 72, of Raceland, passed away on January 18, 2019 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. She was born on April 12, 1946 to the late John Dickerson and Naomi Garvin Mitchell.
Connie was retired with 30 years of service from Home Federal where she was a branch manager and was a member of First Baptist Church of Russell. In earlier years she was a member of Worthington Nazarene Church where she taught Sunday school and was Missionary president. Through her dedication to the Nazarene Church she traveled to Belize, Nicaragua and Guatemala on nine different mission trips where she met Darla Hamilton from Cadillac, MI, who has remained her good friend through their lives. She also was a KDMC volunteer after she retired.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue and will be officiated by Pastor Ken Gowin and Reverend Phillip Bowles.
Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, N.E. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 until service time at noon on Wednesday.
She is survived by her loving husband Woody Renfroe of Raceland, KY; a son Brad Renfroe of Greenup, KY; an Aunt, Pat Garvin; and special cousins and friends, Johnda Curry, Rosemary Frazier, Madonna Casto and Mark Bowman.
