Cordell David Earl, 29, of Ashland, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 12, 2018, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born November 1, 1988, in Ashland a son of, Carl David (Kristina) Earl and Deitra Brown (James) Hulett.
Cordell was a 2008 graduate of Paul Blazer High School where he was a member of the football team. He attended Fairview Baptist Church and had previously worked for Pike Electric. He loved riding motorcycles, watching Game of Thrones, spending time with family and friends and evening walks with his dog Charlie. “Cord” had a kind gentle spirit, always willing to help anyone in need. His generosity will continue to live on in the lives of others through his gift of organ donation.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include a sister, Sydney Shae Earl of Ashland; half-brother, Raylan Briar Earl of Ashland; step sister, Erin Smith of Ashland; step brother, James Roy Hulett of Marietta, OH; grandmothers, Lillian “Nanny” Brown of Ashland, and Janice Earl of Catlettsburg; step grandparents, Alva and Judith “Mamaw” Knicely of Newark, OH; Lou and Nita Smith of Ashland, and Bob and Kim Hulett of Ashland; Aunts, Kim “Sissy” Brunty of Ashland; and Christy Earl of Catlettsburg; uncle, Randy Earl of Summit; two cousins who were raised as siblings, Ron Cyrus and Savannah Brunty, and his beloved dog Sir. Charles.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel.
A celebration of Cordell’s life will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the funeral home with words of comfort provided by Pastor Michael Rice.
