Danny Ray Clarkston

Danny Ray Clarkston, 70, Collins Road, Catlettsburg, husband of 52 years to Linda Carol Bartley Clarkston, took possession of his Heavenly Home on November 26th following complications brought on by the Coronavirus.
He was born November 6, 1950 in Ashland, Kentucky and was the son of the late Ray Clarkston and Perlina Bowling Fry.
Danny was a dedicated employee of the Cannonsburg Water District and retired in 2015 after 36 years of service. He was also an ordained minister of more than 35 years and most recently served as the pastor of the Huff Run Church, Grayson, KY. Danny never met a stranger and was well loved by everyone that was blessed to call him a friend.
In addition to his wife, Danny is survived by four daughters, Tammy (Rob) Galloway, Crown City, OH, Kim (David) Waddell, Sanford, NC, Michelle (George) Houston, Catlettsburg, KY, Deanna (Bryan) Schweickart, Catlettsburg, KY; ten grandchildren, Jacob, Jonathan, Victoria, Kasey Jo, Michael, Holly, Danny, Jaime, Sydney, and Summer; two great-grandchildren, Silas and Simon; one brother, Paul; a half-brother, Bob Fry; a special niece Diana Sexton, along with a host of other nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Sexton; his stepfather, Jim Fry, and a great granddaughter Eliza Grace Scarberry.

A private graveside service will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Bowling Cemetery by Brother Tim Porter. Due to strict restrictions, we ask that only the immediate family attend the service.

Casket bearers will be Jacob Galloway, Jonathan Galloway, Michael Waddell, Brian Morrow, Nate Scarberry, and Danny Houston.
