David Earl True

David Earl True, 68, of Flatwoods, KY passed away at the Hospice Care Center on November 16, 2019. He was born in Ashland, KY on December 14, 1950 to the late Joseph B. and Mary Hope Reip True.
David was a business owner of D. E. True Industrial Services. He was a TKE and University of Kentucky Alumni and was instrumental in starting the TKE alumni association for UK. He attended First Baptist Church of Russell, loved gadgets and electronics as well as cooking and grilling out. He had a passion for music and was an avid UK fan.
He is survived by his loving wife Debbie Sturgill True of Flatwoods, KY; a son Andrew David True and wife Erin of Seabrook, TX; a daughter Dr. Abbe Cassity and husband Phillip of Russell, KY; a step sister Lynda True-Kemmery and husband Jeff of Canton, OH; grandchildren Gabrielle Bailey and husband Luke, Gunner Cassity and Dean, Keenan, Aubrey and Brynn True.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel and will be officiated by Pastor Ken Gowin. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM.
