Denise Jean Foley

Denise Jean Foley, 67, of Johnson City, TN, formerly of Ashland, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 21st at her residence.

She was born July 5, 1953, in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Luther J. Foley and Mary Josephine Henley Foley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Eugene Foley and James Luther Foley.

Denise was a 1971 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and a 1998 graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science. She was a loving and devoted homemaker, animal and book lover, and loved being “Nana D” to her two grandkids. Although she moved several times throughout her life, she always found a church and became an active member.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Marshall Ryan of West Hills, CA; daughter, Serena (Brian) Milan of Knoxville, TN, and two grandchildren, Harper and Hudson Milan; brother, Jerome (Marsha) Foley of South Point, OH; sister, Dawn (Gregory) Paige of Bedford, TX; Terrell Foley, James Foley. Jr., her dear nephews, and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held at Noon on Monday, July 27, 2020, at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens with words of comfort provided by Rev. Gregory Paige.
