Dora J. Brown, 84, of Ashland, went over Jordan to be with her husband and son in Heaven, Saturday, December 1, 2018, at her residence.
She was born March 31, 1934, in Ashland, KY, a daughter of the late Chad and Blanche Roark Borders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Ray Brown Sr.; son, Donald Ray Brown Jr.; great grandson, Andruw Lee Brown; and a sister, Treva Carolyn Young.
Dora retired from King’s Daughters Medical Center after 20 years of service. She was a graduate of Fairview High School and was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include a son, Darryl Wayne Brown of Ashland; daughter, Debra Carol Brown of Ashland; sisters, Nora Hogan Grizzle and Martha Cooper; grandchildren, Sonya Kaye Brown, Jason David Brown and Belinda Rae Brown; great grandchildren, Sierra Berkemeier, Sydney Berkemeier, Tyler Berkemeier, Nick Brown, Natalie Brown and Joshua brown; and a host of extended family members and friends.
A graveside will be held 2 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel.
Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday, at the cemetery.
