Edward Morrow Greer, 98, of Ashland, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018.
He was born September 18, 1919 in Carter City, Kentucky, a son of the late Charlie Greer and Samantha Wright Greer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Lorene Glass Greer, in 2006; and two daughters, Connie Gallion and Jo Ann Greer.
Marrow retired after 46 years of service at the A.C. Lawrence Leather Company. Following his retirement he worked for Penco for 21 years. He served honorably in the United States Army and was a World War II Veteran.
Survivors include his granddaughter, Melissa Sims and her husband, Joe of Columbus, OH; and a host of loving niece, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Pastor James Webster officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery where military honors will be provided by the U. S. Army and American Legion Kenova Post 93.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the funeral home.
