Flora "Diana" Pack

Flora “Diana” Pack, 85, of Ashland, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 13, 2019.
She was born September 6, 1933, in Louisa, Kentucky, a first generation German immigrant daughter of the late Julius M. and Flora Page Rankin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Rankin and William N. Rankin.
Upon graduating from Louisa High School in 1951, Diana moved to Columbus, Ohio to do secretarial work. While in Columbus, she met Bill Pack, from Paintsville, KY, on a blind date. They were married in 1956 and moved to Ashland to begin their life together. Diana later went on to work and retire from JC Penney as a Department Manager and Merchandiser. Following her retirement she enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved decorating her home, watching tv with Bill, shopping, working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her former husband and caregiver, Bill Pack of Ashland; her only daughter, Lisa Bradway of Ashland; sister-in-law, Betty Rankin of Salisbury, NC; niece, Kim Russ of Salisbury, NC; and a nephew, David Rankin of Delaware. She had wonderful caregivers in addition to her family who were close to her, especially Peggy, Ina and Diana.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Pastor Mark A. Kloha officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
