Frank Charles Stapleton

Frank Charles Stapleton, 74, of Ashland, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 18, 2019, in UK Medical Center following a courageous five year battle with cancer.
He was born November 5, 1944, in Piqua, Ohio, a son of the late Charles and Katherine Pickering Stapleton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Charlene Chappell.
Frank was a member of Clyffeside Worship. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He retired after 51 years of service from Pennco.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 52 years, Sharon Hickman Stapleton of Ashland; son Charles Matthew Stapleton and wife Hui Zhang “Michelle” of Roswell, GA; daughter, Sherry Stapleton of Mason, OH; sister, Donna Powers and husband Phillip of Ashland; and brother, Jon Pickering and wife Louise of Troy, OH.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Young officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
