Geneva Anne Dysard, 74, of Ashland, KY, passed away on Saturday morning, September 7, 2019 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born on July 9, 1945 in Dayton, OH to the late William Henderson and Geneva Bushey Dysard.
Geneva was a graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School in 1963 and Centre College in 1967. She made a meticulous study of all and sundry types of knowledge and had a lifelong love of astrology and orchids. In addition to her keen intellect and probing mind, Geneva had a wry sense of humor which entertained and delighted her friends. She enjoyed being able to do as she pleased, from being a typewriter repairsmith in San Francisco in the l960’s to taking an epic safari in Africa in the 1980’s. She was a sage counsel to those she served in Cincinnati, family, and friends. For over 20 years she helped run her father’s law practice in Ashland. She thoroughly looked forward to her times with the ladies who lunch. Geneva was ever unique and she will be dearly missed by those blessed to have intersected her orbit.
She is survived by a sister Amanda Gist (the late Ronald T. Gist); Niece and nephew, Hallie Geneva Gist Miller (Joe) and John Dysard Gist (Hannah); and great niece Elizabeth Gist and grand nephews, Dysard Miller, Stanley Miller, Henderson Gist, and Maxwell Gist.
