H. B. Perkins

Harry B. “HB” Perkins, Jr., 78, of Catlettsburg, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at his residence. HB was born September 25, 1943 in Catlettsburg. He was the son of the late Harry B. Sr. and Mary Louann Fornash Perkins. In addition to his parents, HB was preceded in death by his daughter Katrina Cornett and several brothers and sisters.
HB was a lifelong resident of Catlettsburg. He served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post 93 in Kenova. He had a long and rewarding career with the railroad and retired as lead machinist with thirty-one years of service from the Huntington Division of CSX. He loved fishing and watching his favorite sporting events on TV.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 58 years Beulah Kiser Perkins of Catlettsburg, daughters Tara Perkins and fiancé James McCalvin of Argillite, KY, Natasha McCoy and husband Chris of Grayson, KY, brother John (Bobbi) Perkins of Ashland, sister Garnett (James) Fitzgerald of Catlettsburg, grandchildren JP, Kyle, Braidan, Ashton, Billy, Brooke, Isaac, Kalob, Kadaynce and Gunner, great grandchildren Jayla, Kenadi and baby on way. Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
HB was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Funeral and burial services will be held privately with full military honors provided by the US Army and the American Legion Post 93.
