Harry C. Mullins, 85, of Rush, KY, peacefully departed this life Monday, December 31, 2018 at his residence surrounded by the family he loved. Mr. Mullins was born February 15, 1933 in Greenup County, KY, a son of the late Jerry and Myrtle Creech Mullins. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother George Mullins, sisters Frankie Pease, Phyllis Staywick, Virginia Walters, Viola Moore, Leitha Poulas, Elta Payne and a son-in-law Bill Sexton
Harry retired after many years of service from the former A.C. Lawrence Leather Company in Ashland. He enjoyed making leather purses and belts for family and friends and also enjoyed sharing his garden produce at the Boyd County farmers market and was known for “Harry beans and corn”. He will be missed by his breakfast friends at the Summit McDonalds.
Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years Eunice Evelyn Stringer Mullins of Rush, his children Connie (Tim) Barnett of Ashland, Jerry (Mina) Mullins of Sterling Hgts, MI, Pam (BJ) Mullins of Rush, Marsha (Tom) Dallaire of Clarkston, MI, Dexter (Sandy) Mullins of Crosby, TX, Carole Sexton of Rush, Richard (Sheri) Mullins of Catlettsburg, sisters Montana Hyser of Florida, Margaret Holton of Flatwoods, grandchildren Mike Barnett, Kelly Murphy, Richard Dallaire, Nicholas Dallaire, Stephanie Stephens, Abbey Mullins, Felicia Forrest, Cathy Watkins, Mariah Mullins, Kayla Mullins, 16 great grandchildren 1 great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and good friends.
Funeral services will be held 6:00pm Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel by Pastor Dicky Tiller.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 4-6 pm at the funeral home.
