Helen Marie Jones

Helen Marie Jones, 96, of Rush, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born July 1, 1925 in Carter County, KY. She was a daughter of the late Bert and Martha Lucas Davis. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Jones, her brothers Edward and Howard Davis and her granddaughter Mary Louise Jones.
Helen was affiliated with the Rush Baptist Church. She worked in sales with Pollock’s Jewelers and the former Star’s Fashion World. She loved to travel, especially on girl trips, and enjoyed tending her beautiful flowers around her home. She also loved fishing with her late husband Clyde.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters Betty (Eddie) Kress of Nicholasville, KY, Jan (Doug) Blevins of Summit, KY, her son Thomas G. Jones of Rush, her grandchildren she adored Mark Blevins, Tommy (Sara) Jones, Tony (Kathleen) Jones, great grandsons Colin and Morgan, her sister-in-law Carolyn Davis of Lexington, KY and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Steen Funeral Home, 13th Street Chapel. Pastor Jerry Foster will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be prior to services from 10:30 am till service time at the funeral home.
